JOTUN
products provide excellent corrosion protection and contribute to improved health, safety and environment during application. Jotun coatings are designed to meet ISO12499, NORSOK M-501 and the upcoming VOC standards and regulations.
Jotun outlines five core market segments within the Protective Coatings division.
- Offshore Installations
- HPI (Hydrocarbon Processing Industry)
- Energy Sector
- Infrastructure (Airports, Ports, Metros, Bridges)
- Mining Operations
Offshore Installations
Jotun provides high-performance, field-tested coatings designed for the most volatile maritime environments. By partnering with us operators tap into a global synergy network that directly maximises asset profitability, ensures structural longevity and minimises costly offshore maintenance cycles.
HPI
The HPI sector faces aggressive chemical exposure, high temperatures, intense pressure and unpredictable ambient conditions. Jotun’s continuously upgraded product range allows us to customise specifications exactly to the client’s localised environment, easily meeting the market’s increasingly stringent environmental and safety regulations.
Energy Sector
Jotun has a massive global footprint and can offer a complete range of coatings for steel and concrete to protect the energy installations.
Infrastructure
Airports, commercial ports, high-rise buildings, metros and bridges. Infrastructure is one of Jotun’s five major pillars in the Protective Coatings segment. Backed by extensive civil engineering experience, we provide comprehensive concept packages and professional services to protect a city’s most critical high-traffic landmarks and transport networks.
Mining Operations
Backed by more than 30 years of specialised field experience, our mining range is engineered for high mechanical impact, abrasion, and corrosive environments. We deliver coatings that directly extend the operational life of expensive machinery and heavy mining infrastructure.

HEAT RESISTANT
Jotun’s high-temperature catalog is strictly engineered around two distinct mechanisms: Heavy-Duty CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) / Cryogenic Primers and High-Heat Aesthetic Topcoats.
- TheJotatempSeries
Engineered primarily for extreme thermal cycling, cryogenic conditions, and absolute CUI prevention.
Different series of Jotatemp products, which are specially optimised for carbon steel, ceramic substrates, stainless steel, alloyed steel, etc., and for maintenance purposes.
- TheSolvalittSeries (Atmospheric Finish & Aesthetic Coats)
Engineered for excellent weatherability, colour retention, and system completion over Jotatemp or zinc primers.
Different series of Solvalitt acks as primer, midcoat, or finish coat, offer unmatched UV resistance and atmospheric weathering protection for non-insulated high heat assets like chimneys, exhaust stacks etc.

FIRE PROTECTION COATINGS (Intumescent)
Jotun’s Passive Fire Protection (PFP) coatings are designed to isolate and protect structural steel when a fire breaks out.
The range is explicitly split into two categories based on the fire hazard: Cellulosic Fire Protection (for commercial architecture and infrastructure) and Hydrocarbon Fire Protection (for heavy-duty oil, gas and energy assets).
- TheSteelMasterRange (Cellulosic Fire Protection)
- TheJotacharRange (Hydrocarbon Pool & Jet Fire Protection)
- Specialized Thermal Barriers
MARINE COATINGS
Jotun is a global titan in the Marine Coatings sector, protecting more than 25% of the world’s commercial fleet. Their marine portfolio is heavily focused on optimising vessel speed, slashing fuel consumption/carbon emissions, and providing structural protection for assets navigating the harshest oceanic environments.
The marine lineup is divided into four critical categories: Fouling Protection (Antifouling), Universal & Ballast Tank Primers, Cargo Tank Linings and Topcoats.
- Fouling Protection &Antifouling(The Hull Optimisers)
Biofouling creates massive hydrodynamic drag, driving up fuel burn. Jotun’s hull coatings are engineered to maintain an ultra-smooth profile.
SeaQuantum Series (Premium Chemically Hydrolysing)
SeaForce Series (Ion-Exchange Technology)
- Universal Marine & Ballast Tank Primers
Ballast tanks are subject to intense cyclic immersion, making them highly susceptible to severe corrosion. These primers strictly comply with the IMO Performance Standard for Protective Coatings (PSPC).
- Jotamastic Series
- Balloxy HB Light:
- Barrier Series (Zinc-Rich Primers)
Tank Linings (Chemical & Cargo Protection)
Designed to protect the internal structural integrity of cargo tanks while preventing cargo contamination across aggressive chemical rotations.
- Marine Atmospheric Topcoats (Aesthetics & UV Shields)
Applied to the topsides, decks, and superstructures to maintain cosmetic excellence and defend against aggressive salt spray and UV degradation.

FLOOR COATINGS
Floor coating systems are advanced surface protection solutions designed to provide durable, aesthetically appealing and chemically resistant flooring for a wide range of industrial, commercial and residential applications. These coatings enhance the strength and lifespan of concrete and other flooring surfaces by protecting them against heavy traffic, abrasion, impact, moisture, stains and harsh chemicals. Available in various systems such as epoxy, polyurethane (PU), acrylic and anti-static coatings, floor coatings offer seamless finishes that are easy to clean and maintain while also improving workplace safety with anti-slip properties. Epoxy flooring is widely preferred for factories, warehouses, hospitals and pharmaceutical units due to its superior durability and chemical resistance, whereas PU flooring is ideal for environments exposed to thermal variations and heavy impact such as food processing plants and cold storage facilities. Decorative finishes including glossy, matte, metallic, flake and textured surfaces further enhance the visual appeal of the space.
